The Riku Replica and Fighting

At some point, the Riku Replica might want to fight with you. It's -- sort of what he does in the game: Have emotional declarations and moments of speshul ("That's just like you, Sora! You've always tried to worm your way into my heart!" "Whoa, whoa, whoa. I don't remember doing something like that!" "YOU NEVER CARED ABOUT MY FEELINGS" <-- canon lolz)... and fight people. A lot.

Like, the Riku Replica wins the prize for Most Number of Boss Fights In a Single Game, at 6. Now, of course, in order for the plot to progress, you have to win -- otherwise you're dead and get the continue/game over screen. So in terms of storyline, the Riku Replica has always lost every fight he's set out to do. The only possible exception is if you consider his 'eating' Zexion to have been a fight. (I don't. XD)

...That doesn't mean he's a pushover. In both games he is, quite simply, one of the hardest fights you'll face. In Sora's game, the only enemy I found harder than him was Axel, and THAT was only because my deck wasn't made for facing an element-strong/weak enemy (it was mostly physical). Compared to the Replica, the final fight was really a piece of cake. Likewise, in Riku's game, there were only two bosses I died fighting. The Replica and Ansem. I died five times before I ended up running around enough to level up Riku to the point where he could beat the Replica. Ansem? Died once, due to carelessness.

So yeah. Be warned that the Replica might want to fight with you, and he's a tough battle. He might want to fight for a number of reasons -- to get stronger, to try to absorb your darkness, to make a statement of his identity. But he DOES do a lot of fighting, and is no stranger to challenging people to fights.

That said, I am perfectly willing to lose. I am willing to lose EVERY TIME. All I want out of the battle is for it to be a tough one for your character's level. Like, so his level is directly proportional to yours, except in the cases where someone is noticably stronger or weaker than 'most' characters. Have him just be slightly stronger, so that you can overcome but it takes effort -- if you're not at the end of your healthbar and kind of "oh god wait how did I DO that" in game, it's not a fight with the Replica. XD I think it would be lots of fun to replicate that in CFUD and have him lose, but only have you win by the skin of your teeth!

Tell me if you're okay with this.

His main attacks are physical (attack with his sword, Soul Eater), or of the power of darkness: an unnamed blast of energy that throws Riku down at one point, and Dark Firaga (a darkly glowing energy ball he flings at you), Dark Break (he leaps into the air and pogosticks on your head using his sword), and Dark Aura (he glows, floats into the air, zips around smacking you with his weapon a lot, then darkness explodes from the ground to do damage).

Let me know if you're NOT okay with fighting him ever, and I'll find excuses, of course. Nobody should ever be bullied into a fight, etc etc etc. :3

Well, regarding the fighting thing, Kodachi is probably going to come after you at some point because when Namine turned into him a few months back he insulted her a lot and they had a fight that didn't go anywhere. And she's an obnoxiously vengeful person, even over something that relatively insignificant. Just letting you know in advance.

That being said, the match would probably have to be a draw of some sort with neither taking too much damage (besides, aside from using paralysis powder I'm not quite sure how Kodachi could even beat him in the first place). Or else Ranma might explode.

I'm okay with him fighting any of my characters. Fights happen when you play asshats like I do. |D Though Pallapalla is liable to run away as soon as she gets hurt and Stan in physical form is uh... very very underpowered XD; but if a fight breaks out I usually try to be on IRC to talk it out OOC so I just figure deal with it if/when it happens. |D

... actually if he ends up fighting Roz there's a lot of crazy shit that could result from her having such a tough time in a fight, aheheheh... very much with OOC talking during a fight. XDb

ANYWAY regardless I love the Replica. ♥

Any of my characters but Nokoru are good for fighting. If we ever get a Suoh, though...

I'm just commenting because if it's at all possible, I'd like to avoid the fights ending with a kill. Or barring that, keeping it kind of quiet. I have no idea why people always pay so much attention to Russel getting maimed.

Ahaha I played up to the final battle in CoM and yet never thought the Riku Replica had enough of a distinct personality to be appable for some reason. Shows what I know about KH. XD

Oh right, Sora's final battle. FURTHER PROOF THAT I KNOW NOTHING OF KH. XD

Fine with any kind of fight here. I just don't want to kill Naruto in camp. Right now, anyways. XD

This is mostly for Mugen, but I'm up for fighting on either chars if it happens~ I'd rather there not be killinating, but pwning is fine. Just that if he loses, he'll be coming back to try and defeat you again until he wins. |D

Naminé PMed me about a possible Black Haru - Repliku confrontation with shotguns maybe invoved, or something. I'm very RPed out today (you'll probably be getting too jumped on by your own cast anyway XD) and you're leaving for a few days, but I'm definitely interested.

Now, obviously, it's Black Haru and he lives to get his adrenaline out, but I'd rather the scene kept to the comical violence of early Furuba -- if it's all possible? :D; COM is the game I'm least familiar with out of the three, accursed different system!

Jak and the replica met each other back when Naminé turned into him, so while Jak wouldn't be too eager to fight and try diplomacy first, he would resort to violence if pushed far enough. And considering that he has both Light and Dark powers, the replica would probably be interested in fighting him too.

Vergil on the other hand... he would fight at the drop of a hat. But I honestly think it's safe to say he's as strong as Sephiroth, so that might end badly for poor little Repliku.

It is totally a-okay to fight any of my characters. :Dd Roxas is probably the only one who'll want to, though -- which is probably a good thing, considering that Mal and Alice are both terribly underpowered in comparison to camp and Shin isn't really a fighter. (If a fight does happen with them, I'm still good with it happening; they're just probably going to lose. But not for lack of trying.)

Well, Nishi is so underpowered to fight Replica Riku it isn't funny. Add with abrasive personality, stir well, and you get the fact that I'm up for a fight any time you want Riku to win for variety. Though out of curiosity, what happens with this absorbing darkness thing you mentioned?

Moses would be a much more even fight, actually, and I'd be all up for playing and it going actually either way. Added benefit that Moses never holds a grudge when he gets his ass handed to him. Just as likely to sit down next to Repliku the next day in the Mess Hall at breakfast, and go "DAYAM those fries look good... uh. ya'll gonna eat that?"

Kurama's open, (And would be an interesting match) but I can't predict interactions going that way. Ayame and Rhode are non combatants in camp! Nishi's okay with death as an ending. Moses and Kurama, if I could ask a stop at KO or arrange for an intervention, that would be awesome.

Considering Hibari's favorite pastime other than sleeping is to pick fights with people... should he and Replica Riku ever meet, consider it instant permission for a fight.

As to whether or not Hibari could stand up to him is debatable as he himself doesn't seem to have any special powers. Then again, his canon involves people jumping off of buildings and getting smashed through walls and running around with crazy-ass swords and yo-yos that spray poison spikes. So! I'd be fine with the fight going either way. The end~

Oh god, why didn't I even see this?

Eiko, Selphie and Christine are all very much fine with fighting the Repliku and I think in Selphie and Eiko's case, their canons mesh up well enough that the fight should make sense and stuff.

In Willow's case, I'd prefer getting a heads up and a lot of talking on IRC before it happened. 'Cause, you know, she's pretty much a normal girl at this point but there's Buffy and stuff.

For Simon. Uh. I'm willing to play it out, but I do kinda need the disclaimer that it would not be a fair fight. Not because Simon's a sekrit godmoder, but because River's a tricksy ninja who will cut anyone who messes with him and from how you describe it, River would be pinged and hard. So, you know, he's good to get his ass handed to him but River's player would need to be in on the info too. Yeah? Yeah.
